“...Moore’s honeyed, dreamy sound is inarguably her own.”
Blessed with an artistʼs eye, Mae has been songwriting for over thirty five years. Her songs have been heard in major soundtracks (“Top Gun”), hit television shows and the radio. With two Juno nominations, two SOCAN awards and many chart successes, Mae has forged a career sharing the stage with such folk/rock luminaries as Sarah McLachlan, John Hiatt, Marianne Fathfull, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Richard Thompson and more. Her songwriting skills were recognized by CBS (Sony) which lead to her debut recording in 1990, Oceanview Motel. This success was followed by her album Bohemia, an international hit in 1992, and Dragonfly in 1995. Folklore brings together a stellar group of musicians, each at the top of her or his game in this gorgeous recording (released in March 2011). Accompanying this new release is a companion art book, with MP3 download access to the entire album, a bonus track and full colour plates of Maeʼs artwork. What a treasure chest! and not to be missed. Mae is a 21st century renaissance Canadian woman whose music goes right to the heart of the matter. To have a listen, visit:
